Cork is the second largest City in Ireland, but if you want to get in with the local Corkonians, you might be better referring to it as “the Real Capital”. Corkonians are a fiery bunch, full of opinions and great craic – think Roy Keane, Ronan O’Gara and Graham Norton. The River Lee runs through the City (maybe try learning the local ballad “The Banks of my own Lovely Lee”) but there are 2 channels, just to confuse worse for wear visitors late at night.
